Mediaocean recently appointed adtech veteran Iván Markman to the newly created dual role of President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to CEO Bill Wise. The executive addition highlights a broader restructuring of the firm’s leadership team, which includes the recent elevations of Zvika Netter to Chief Innovation Officer and Guy Kuperman to Chief Strategy Officer, alongside the addition of Michael Kassan as Vice Chairman. This management expansion targets immediate operational alignment as the software provider accelerates the deployment of agent-based capabilities across its Innovid, Prisma, and Protected platforms.
Markman brings more than two decades of operational scale and enterprise platform experience to the position, specializing in complex technology and data integrations. He most recently ran Yahoo’s B2B division, directing the adtech, search, and Edgecast business segments that generated the bulk of the company’s revenue, a multi-year overhaul that culminated in Verizon Media’s $5 billion sale to Apollo. Prior to his tenure at Yahoo, Markman served as COO of MarketShare through its acquisition by Neustar, where he subsequently managed strategy, product, and operations for a $300 million marketing services division.
In his new capacity, Markman will lead the unification of global operations, platforms, and third-party partners to speed up product innovation for agency and advertiser clients. His mandate focuses heavily on translating theoretical automation into measurable commercial execution by integrating Mediaocean’s multi-platform software portfolio. Endorsing the hire, CEO Bill Wise stated that Markman’s background across data and enterprise platforms will be critical to “bring more intelligence and automation into the core of advertising.”
