Garde joins Veeam with a background that includes starting her career as a software engineer at Apple. She most recently served as Chief Legal Officer at Informatica, where she managed the company’s $8 billion acquisition by Salesforce. Her experience also includes building a 75-person legal organization at VMware during its $1 billion IPO and leading legal functions at Sophos through private equity transactions and cybersecurity integrations.

This leadership shift occurs as Veeam prioritizes the development of a unified platform for AI-driven data protection. Eswaran stated that Garde’s technical background and experience scaling legal organizations from startups to $2 billion enterprises were key factors in the selection. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Garde will focus on converting regulatory and data complexity into operational momentum for the company’s global teams.
