ServiceNow has announced that OpenAI will become a preferred intelligence capability across its platform, which supports more than 80 billion enterprise workflows each year. The partnership embeds OpenAI models, including GPT-5.2, directly into ServiceNow’s AI Platform, allowing enterprises to apply advanced reasoning and automation within governed environments. Organizations use ServiceNow to coordinate operations across complex systems, vendors, and teams, and the integration enables AI to interpret context, recommend next steps, and execute actions across functions such as IT, finance, sales, and human resources.
Amit Zavery, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Product Officer at ServiceNow, said, “Together, Service and OpenAI are building the future of AI experiences: deploying AI that takes end-to-end action in complex enterprise environments—not sandboxes.” The companies aim to support agentic AI systems that can reason across tasks and complete work with minimal human input. Customers can apply OpenAI models for natural-language assistance, automated summarization, content generation, intelligent search, and tools that convert intent into workflows and automation.
Brad Lightcap, Chief Operating Officer at OpenAI, said, “With OpenAI frontier models and multimodal capabilities in ServiceNow, enterprises across every industry will benefit from intelligence that handles work end to end in even the most complex environments.” Looking ahead, the partners plan multimodal experiences that allow users to interact through text, voice, or visuals.
