SentinelOne has introduced new identity-focused capabilities designed to protect human users and emerging non-human, AI-driven identities in enterprise environments. The company said traditional identity security tools concentrate primarily on authentication and permissions, leaving gaps when attackers exploit authorized access to move laterally or extract data. With the growth of autonomous AI agents executing tasks across systems, identity risk now extends beyond login controls.
SentinelOne’s strategy centers on continuous validation of behavior during execution, rather than relying solely on initial authorization. The company aims to monitor and, when required, revoke access in real time across endpoints, browsers, and AI workflows. The new Singularity Identity offering anchors this approach, providing visibility into who or what is initiating actions. Complementary capabilities include Prompt Security, which detects misuse in browsers and AI tools, and Singularity Endpoint, which evaluates system-level activity.
Jeff Reed, CTO of SentinelOne, said, “The rise of AI as autonomous, non-human identities is expanding the attack surface and creating new governance challenges.” He added, SentinelOne is well-positioned to guide this shift with its AI-native platform, designed to connect identity, endpoint, and workload data. This capability allows security teams to assess behavioral patterns and automatically respond to misuse from both users and machines as it occurs.
