SAP SE, a German multinational software corporation specializing in enterprise applications, has named Augusta Spinelli as its Regional President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). She will oversee operations across 53 offices in 89 countries, excluding the SAP Middle & Eastern Europe division led separately by Alex Kläger. In her new role, Spinelli will be responsible for strengthening customer relationships, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and driving adoption of SAP solutions in collaboration with engineering, services, and partner networks. She succeeds Manos Raptopoulos, who was promoted earlier this year to SAP’s Extended Board as Chief Revenue Officer for APAC, EMEA, and MEE. Commenting on the appointment, Raptopoulos said, “Augusta is a dynamic and insightful leader with a true passion for our customers’ success and brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has an extraordinary track record of innovation and execution and has accumulated deep industry expertise while helping countless businesses around the world accelerate their digital transformation.”
Based in Dubai, Spinelli brings more than three decades of experience, having advanced through various sales, delivery, and leadership roles since joining SAP in 2001. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of the Adoption Services Center, where she guided customers in scaling SAP solutions. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Technology and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Reflecting on her new position, Spinelli stated, “I am deeply honored to step into this role at such an exciting time in our industry and for SAP. I’m thrilled to be joining the talented team of SAP professionals in EMEA, recognized for their innovative capabilities and focus on consistently delivering customer value. The EMEA region is rich in diversity and opportunity, and I look forward to delivering value to our customers through our AI-first, Suite-first strategy.”
