Anthropic has appointed Rahul Patil as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Patil will lead the company’s engineering operations across product development, infrastructure, compute, data science, and security, supporting the global expansion of Claude. Patil joins Anthropic with over two decades of experience managing large-scale technical systems.
He most recently served as CTO at Stripe, where he oversaw technology for millions of businesses handling over a trillion dollars in annual transactions. He also held previous leadership roles at AWS, Microsoft, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Patil stated, “Anthropic’s brilliance in both research and products, and their conscientious approach to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible feels like the most important work I could be doing right now —I personally can’t think of a greater calling and responsibility.” Anthropic President Daniela Amodei added, “Rahul brings a proven track record in building and scaling robust infrastructure that businesses can depend on as we work to make Claude the leading intelligence platform for enterprises.”
