Phenom knows that Artificial Intelligence shouldn’t be coming for anyone’s jobs. It should make their jobs easier – especially in human resources. “HR’s enemy is not AI,” said Mahe Bayireddi, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Phenom. “The enemy is slashed budgets, fewer resources and an aging, dwindling workforce.”
To combat these trends, Phenom released X+ Ontologies, X+ Agent Studio, and a new range of verticalized X+ Agents in March. The Philadelphia-based company, whose products help companies hire and retain top talent, has a lofty goal: to help 1 billion people find work.
Its newest suite of products are paving the way for that to happen. X + Ontologies helps companies sort through discrete skills and experiences to “decipher enterprise complexities, illuminating the relationships between skills, tasks, work and productivity.” These synergies are critical to exploit in a business environment in which it has typically taken 18 months to hire the right people after a change in corporate strategy.
X + Agents builds on X + Ontologies – these agents “understand organizations more thoroughly than they know themselves,” in Phenom’s words – to help implement directional corporate strategies, using custom AI to help prospective, current and former employees maximize their potential. And X + Agents are helping companies hire in several specialties, healthcare, retail scheduling and manufacturing among them.
If this sounds like the future, it’s not. It is, as Bayireddi says, the present: “This is how the world connects people with the right work and HR becomes more human.”
