Oracle has introduced OpenAI’s GPT-5 across its database technology and suite of cloud applications, including Oracle Fusion Cloud, NetSuite, and industry-specific platforms such as Oracle Health. The integration allows organizations to directly apply advanced code generation, debugging, and multi-step reasoning to their operational workflows. GPT-5, OpenAI’s newest model, is available in three scalable formats and also through ChatGPT Enterprise, designed to bring flexibility to business environments.

Oracle said the deployment will help customers strengthen business process orchestration, improve software development efficiency, and generate more precise insights for decision-making.

Kris Rice, Senior Vice President, Database Software Development at Oracle, stated, “Oracle AI Vector and Select AI together with GPT-5 enable easier and more effective data search and analysis. Oracle’s SQLcl MCP Server enables GPT-5 to easily access data in Oracle Database. These capabilities enable users to search across all their data, run secure AI-powered operations, and use generative AI directly from SQL—helping to unlock the full potential of AI on enterprise data.” 

Meeten Bhavsar, Senior Vice President of Applications Development, added, “GPT-5 will bring our Fusion Applications customers OpenAI’s sophisticated reasoning and deep-thinking capabilities,” enabling more advanced automation and faster outcomes. Oracle highlights that its approach prioritizes security, adaptability, and scalability, positioning enterprises to apply generative and agentic AI across industries with measurable results.
