Nscale has appointed Latha Maripuri as its new Chief Information Security Officer, tasking her with shaping and implementing the company’s enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy. In the role, Maripuri will oversee security across all aspects of the organization, including physical infrastructure, information systems, operational frameworks, and supply chain protection. The company said safeguarding sensitive intellectual property and customer data remains central to its operations as it develops large-scale computing infrastructure designed to support artificial intelligence workloads.
Maripuri will be responsible for embedding security measures across Nscale’s platforms and operational processes while ensuring the company maintains a strong security posture as it expands its infrastructure footprint. Maripuri brings more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and engineering leadership. She previously served as Chief Information Security Officer at Uber, where she led efforts to overhaul the company’s cybersecurity strategy and organizational structure.
Before that, she held the positions of global CISO and Deputy Chief Technology Officer at News Corp and earlier worked in technical and product leadership roles at IBM. Throughout her career, she has focused on building security teams and strengthening risk management frameworks. Nscale said Maripuri’s appointment supports its strategy to build large-scale AI computing infrastructure across Europe and North America.
