ServiceNow has announced that Moveworks has received a FedRAMP Moderate Authorization, enabling federal agencies and public-sector organizations to deploy its AI Assistant platform in secure government environments. The authorization allows agencies, defense contractors, and related institutions to use conversational AI to search across enterprise applications and execute tasks directly within their workflows. The platform addresses the challenges faced by government organizations that must modernize services while managing staffing constraints, legacy systems, and strict security requirements.

Moveworks’ technology combines search and automation within one interface and supports communication in more than 100 languages, helping employees resolve routine requests across IT, HR, and finance functions. Powered by a proprietary reasoning engine, the system can interpret complex queries, plan multi-step actions, and execute tasks within connected systems. The FedRAMP clearance also enables the deployment of Moveworks GovCloud, a dedicated environment built on AWS GovCloud designed for high-security government operations.

Damián Hasse, Chief Information Security Officer for Moveworks from ServiceNow, said, “For federal agencies, security is the bedrock of every mission, but it shouldn’t be a barrier to innovation.” He added that the authorization provides a secure route to reduce manual backlogs and fragmented tools. Mike Hurt, Group Vice President for Public Sector at ServiceNow, noted, “By achieving FedRAMP authorization, Moveworks provides a secure, agentic AI gateway that eliminates the friction of fragmented systems.” Organizations such as Leidos, ManTech, and Broadcom already use the platform, and the company plans to pursue additional certifications, including FedRAMP High and Impact Level 5, to support more mission-critical government applications.
