HCLSoftware has announced its intent to acquire Jaspersoft, a Cloud Software Group analytics and reporting business. The acquisition is expected to close within six months of signing, subject to customary conditions. The deal aligns with growing demand within HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division, Actian, for enterprise data management capabilities such as metadata management, data catalogs, and data governance.
By adding Jaspersoft, Actian aims to strengthen its offering with an integrated data management and analytics experience and extend its reach to a large developer community of data engineers and architects building modern enterprise platforms. Jaspersoft offers a business intelligence and reporting platform with pixel-perfect reports, interactive dashboards, and advanced visualizations, adopted in regulated sectors including government, banking, and financial services.
