Google has completed its $32 billion all-cash acquisition of Wiz, marking the largest purchase in the company’s history. The Israeli cybersecurity firm will operate within Google Cloud while maintaining its brand identity and continuing to support security across multiple cloud platforms. Wiz offers a platform designed to detect and respond to cyber threats across major cloud environments, including systems used by large enterprises.

The transaction follows regulatory approvals from authorities in the U.S. and the EU, which cleared the deal in November 2025 and February 2026 after reviewing potential competition concerns. Google initially proposed acquiring Wiz in 2024 for $23 billion, but negotiations paused before both companies resumed discussions and announced the $32 billion agreement in March 2025.

The acquisition reflects growing demand among organizations for security tools that operate across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud. Wiz crossed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue in 2025, highlighting rapid enterprise adoption of its security platform. In a statement regarding the transaction, Google said, “This acquisition is an investment by Google Cloud to improve cloud security and enable organizations to build fast and securely across any cloud or AI platform.”
