EXL, a data and AI-driven company headquartered in New York, has announced the appointment of Patrick “Pat” Geraghty to its Board of Directors as an Independent Director. Geraghty will serve on the Board’s audit and nominating, and governance committees. He brings more than four decades of leadership experience in the healthcare insurance sector, and has a strong record of driving organizational transformation through technology and AI.

Geraghty previously served as President and CEO of GuideWell, where he increased the company’s annual revenue from $8 billion to over $32 billion and led the creation of an AI platform supporting workforce transformation. He also held leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and currently chairs America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Geraghty stated, “I believe embedding AI in the workflow will be a game changer in transforming business and generating improved outcomes with significant return on investment.
