ECI Software Solutions has appointed Jack Wood as Chief Technology Officer, tasking him with guiding the company’s global technology strategy and expanding its artificial intelligence initiatives. Wood brings more than 25 years of engineering leadership experience and will oversee the technical vision and architectural standards required to build scalable and secure systems across the company’s product portfolio. His responsibilities include strengthening development infrastructure, equipping engineering teams with modern tools, and ensuring consistent delivery of reliable software products.
Trevor Gruenewald, CEO of WCI, said the appointment comes as the company accelerates efforts to integrate practical AI capabilities into its cloud-based platforms for small and mid-sized businesses, adding, “With Jack’s leadership, we will accelerate platform modernization and deliver practical AI that’s reliable in production and has tangible impact to our SMB customers.” Wood previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering at Symetra, where he led a team of more than 350 engineers focused on platform modernization and automation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held engineering leadership roles at Capital One and Wayfair, where he helped scale engineering operations during the company’s growth from $450 million to more than $2.8 billion in revenue.
His experience also includes positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Bell Labs. Commenting on his new role, Wood said, “ECI is in a rare position, with exceptional teams, deep industry data, and a modern technology foundation to turn innovation into everyday impact,” adding that the company aims to scale secure, workflow-integrated AI tools that help customers operate more efficiently.
