C3 AI, a provider of enterprise AI application software, announced the appointment of Stephen Ehikian as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Thomas M. Siebel, who will remain Executive Chairman. Ehikian, a veteran technology executive, co-founded RelateIQ and Airkit.ai, both acquired by Salesforce, and later served as acting administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration, where he led federal technology modernization and implemented the President’s AI Action Plan.

Board members and industry leaders welcomed the appointment. Dr. Condoleezza Rice highlighted Ehikian’s “balance of vision, innovation, and accountability,” while General (Ret.) John Hyten, Former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and C3 AI Board Member stated that he will ensure C3 AI sets “the standard for how AI is applied to national security, government systems, and industry.”
Jim Hagemann Snabe Chairman, Siemens, former co-CEO, SAP, and C3 AI Board Member, praised his track record of creating value across markets, and Siebel described him as “the right person, at the right company, in the right market, at the right time.” C3 AI said the leadership transition strengthens its position to expand the reach of its Agentic AI Platform, enterprise applications, and domain-specific generative AI offerings.
