Bitly has appointed Matt Young as Chief Technology Officer as part of a broader effort to reinforce its leadership team and support continued platform expansion. The move follows CEO Peter Krivkovich’s ongoing strategy to enhance organizational capabilities since assuming leadership in 2025. Young will oversee engineering and data functions, guiding the company’s technical direction and scalability initiatives.
Highlighting the importance of the role, Krivkovich said, “AI is accelerating how quickly software can be built, but the real advantage comes from platforms that can do that while operating reliably at scale. Matt’s deep experience building high-performing engineering organizations will help us continue evolving our platform and ensure it supports the next phase of growth.”
Young brings over two decades of experience in engineering leadership, including roles as CEO of UserVoice and CTO at Vodori, where he led modernization and cloud transformation efforts. Alongside his appointment, Bitly announced key internal promotions to strengthen its operational structure. Kelly Zitzmann now serves as Chief Legal & Administrative Officer, while Luke Reynebeau and Shannon Jankun have been elevated to senior roles in product marketing and human resources, respectively.
