The funding values the company at $183 billion post-money and drew participation from major institutions including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, General Atlantic, Qatar Investment Authority, TPG, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. The financing will support enterprise demand, international expansion, and further investment in safety and alignment research.

Krishna Rao, CFO of Anthropic, said, “From Fortune 500 companies to AI-native startups, our customers rely on Anthropic’s frontier models and platform products for their most important, mission-critical work.”

Since launching Claude in 2023, Anthropic has seen remarkable revenue acceleration, reaching a run-rate of $5 billion by August 2025, up from $1 billion at the start of the year. The company now serves over 300,000 business clients, with large accounts growing nearly sevenfold in the past year.

Claude Code, launched in May 2025, has already generated more than $500 million in annualized revenue. “We’re honored to partner with Dario and the team, and our lead investment in their Series F reflects our belief in their values and their ability to shape the future of responsible AI,” said ICONIQ’s Partner Divesh Makan.
