Anthropic has launched Claude for Small Business, a new package that brings its AI assistant into the software small business owners already use to manage money, customers, contracts, documents, and marketing. The product connects Claude with tools including Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, allowing owners to run workflows such as payroll planning, invoice follow-ups, month-end close, sales campaigns, and contract review from one dashboard. Anthropic is pitching the launch at a segment that accounts for 44% of U.S. GDP and nearly half of the private-sector workforce, but has adopted AI more slowly than larger companies.

The package includes 15 ready-to-run workflows and 15 skills designed to handle repetitive administrative work that often piles up after hours. Operating through the Claude Cowork dashboard, the tool can use PayPal to process disputes or invoices and QuickBooks to support payroll planning, cash-flow forecasting, and month-end reconciliation. To address data security concerns, Anthropic said the platform follows existing software permission structures, requires user approval before sending messages, posting content, or making payments, and does not train on Team and Enterprise customer data by default.

To support adoption, Anthropic partnered with PayPal on AI Fluency for Small Business, a free online course featuring guidance from business owners such as Prospect Butcher Co. and MAKS TIPM Rebuilders. Anthropic is also running a multi-city workshop tour with Tenex.co to provide hands-on AI training for local business leaders in cities including Chicago, Tulsa, and Dallas. “People run the business, and Claude helps take the late-night work off their plates,” said Daniela Amodei, Co-Founder and President of Anthropic. Amy Bonitatibus, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at PayPal, said the collaboration focuses on “equipping these business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools, expertise, and trusted infrastructure they need to compete.”
