PagerDuty is entering a new leadership phase after nearly a decade under Jennifer Tejada. The operations management platform appointed John DiLullo as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Tejada, who led PagerDuty through its 2019 IPO and helped grow annual revenue from under $50 million to nearly $500 million before moving into the Executive Chair role.
DiLullo brings more than 25 years of enterprise software, cloud, and cybersecurity leadership experience to the position. He most recently served as CEO of Deepwatch, where he managed operational restructuring and deployed AI-driven automation. His background also includes stints as CEO of LiveVox and Lastline, alongside previous senior executive positions at Cisco Systems, Aruba Networks, Forcepoint, and Avaya. He assumes leadership of a platform that currently serves more than 35,000 customers, including roughly half of the Fortune 500.
The leadership transition follows a decade of expansion under Tejada, who scaled PagerDuty’s revenue from under $50 million to nearly $500 million while overseeing its 2019 initial public offering and international expansion. Commenting on the timing of the transition, Tejada stated that with stabilizing retention, accelerating expansion business, and momentum in the AI-focused platform, “I am confident this is the right time for this transition, and that John is the right leader to guide PagerDuty through its next phase of growth.” DiLullo noted that more complex digital environments expand the market for automated systems, adding, “I believe PagerDuty sits at the center of this transformation.”
