UiPath has announced a collaboration with Microsoft to introduce a new security automation capability designed to strengthen enterprise security operations. The solution integrates UiPath’s automation platform with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft threat intelligence tools to streamline threat detection, enrichment, and response. By embedding security processes directly into business workflows, the offering aims to improve operational efficiency and reduce incident response times.
Andrei Oros, Director of IT Automation at UiPath, said, “The combination of our automation capabilities with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Security Copilot gives enterprises the ability to embed security controls into operational processes. It’s the peace-of-mind they need to adopt automation across their organization, with the confidence that the data and information driving their most important workflows is compliant and secure.” The solution will be accessible through the UiPath Solutions Marketplace, allowing organizations to incorporate it into their existing Microsoft security environments.
The integrated system enables automated scanning of workflow-generated data through Microsoft Defender, followed by contextual analysis and escalation within Microsoft Sentinel. Security teams can then use Microsoft Security Copilot for guided assessments, while UiPath automations execute response actions such as isolating files or pausing workflows.
Ruthy Kaidar, Managing Director, Solutions at Microsoft EMEA, noted, “UiPath’s integration with Microsoft fuses automation with built-in security and governance – enriching signals with business context, empowering human-in-the-loop decisions, and accelerating detection and response.” The collaboration reflects a broader push to align automation with enterprise-grade security and governance requirements.
