Sophos has announced a series of executive promotions and structural changes designed to accelerate AI adoption and improve customer outcomes. Raja Patel moves from Chief Product Officer to President of Product and Marketing to unify messaging and product delivery under a single operating model. John Peterson becomes Chief Technology Officer, overseeing long-term AI and engineering strategy, while Tony Young transitions to Chief Digital and Information Officer to expand enterprise-wide AI adoption beyond products.
Fiona Ho is also promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer to guide workforce transformation as AI becomes embedded in daily operations, and Simon Reed becomes Chief Security Officer to reinforce trust and oversight across security initiatives.
CEO Joe Levy said the changes “accelerate our ability to deliver AI-powered cybersecurity technology and services that organizations can trust.” The company said the redesign aligns teams to reduce operational friction and speed decision-making as cyber threats increase in scale and sophistication. Patel noted, “Aligning product and marketing under a single operating model allows us to carry the voice of the customer from roadmap and innovation through awareness, delivery, and adoption.”
Sophos aims to integrate AI across engineering, go-to-market functions, and internal operations while maintaining reliability and transparency. The cybersecurity provider, under its leadership team’s continued focus on innovation and scale, currently protects about 600,000 organizations with managed detection and response services, supported by a portfolio spanning endpoint, network, email, identity, and cloud protection.
