Snowflake has announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud that brings Google’s Gemini 3 large language models directly into Snowflake Cortex AI, allowing enterprises to build and operate generative AI applications within Snowflake’s governed data environment. The integration enables customers to create data-driven agents and AI workflows without transferring or duplicating data, supporting regulatory controls, security requirements, and performance needs.
The collaboration also includes closer go-to-market coordination, co-selling initiatives, and the ability for customers to procure Snowflake through Google Cloud Marketplace. Infrastructure updates include Snowflake Gen2 Warehouses on Google Cloud C4A VMs for better performance, with expansions in Saudi Arabia and Melbourne planned for early 2026. Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake, highlighted, “By combining Google Cloud’s industry leadership with Snowflake’s ability to bring AI directly to enterprise data, we’re empowering customers to move faster, innovate more freely, and redefine what’s possible through data and AI.”
Google Cloud Vice President Michael Gerstenhaber added that integrating Gemini models natively into Snowflake allows customers to leverage advanced generative AI capabilities on their managed data. Enterprises across sectors such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail have started adopting the joint offerings.
