ServiceNow has announced its intent to acquire Veza, an AI-native identity security company, to strengthen its Security and Risk portfolios and address the challenge of identity security. The acquisition will support organizations in controlling access to data, applications, systems, and AI assets more effectively, particularly as businesses adopt autonomous capabilities driven by agentic AI.
Amit Zavery, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Product Officer at ServiceNow, said, “By combining Veza’s industry-first Access Graph with ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower and agentic workflows, we can give customers a true single pane of glass, with control of every identity in their organization. Together, we’ll empower CISOs and security teams to make safer access decisions that protect their businesses, and to defend their high-value data assets from AI-powered attacks.”
The companies plan to offer stronger identity governance by combining Veza’s access intelligence with ServiceNow’s workflow, knowledge graph, and AI capabilities. Tarun Thakur, CEO of Veza, noted, “Veza was built to make identity security transparent, scalable, and effective for every organization.” Veza’s platform supports next-generation identity governance features such as access reviews, access requests, and centralized permission management.
Industry stakeholders, including Blackstone CTO John Stecher, highlighted the benefits of the combined platform for managing permissions and securing workflows. After regulatory approval and closing, Veza’s identity visibility and governance capabilities will become part of ServiceNow’s security portfolio.
