DocuSign has announced that its Intelligent Agreement Management platform will soon integrate with ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). DocuSign will enable users to prepare, review, and manage contracts in ChatGPT without needing to switch applications. CEO Allan Thygesen said, “AI is changing how people get work done, and the biggest impact will come when it connects directly to the tools we trust every day. By bringing DocuSign’s end-to-end agreement capabilities and agents into ChatGPT, we will make it easier for anyone to move from conversation to action—securely, intelligently, and with confidence.”

The integration will enable tasks such as drafting leases, generating purchase orders, and identifying expiring vendor agreements for renewal, using natural language prompts. As part of the rollout, DocuSign is developing an MCP-based connector that links ChatGPT to its enterprise-grade IAM system while maintaining business-required security and compliance.

The connector is being demonstrated at DocuSign Discover, highlighting opportunities for developers to extend these capabilities through OpenAI’s AgentKit. Giancarlo “GC” Lionetti of OpenAI noted, “By connecting Docusign to ChatGPT, we are helping teams move from conversation to agreement in fewer steps.”
